How to stay pure?

Psalm 119:9-11
"How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you."

The crux of this verse comes to 3 points. Live in obedience, Seek the Lord, Memorize His Word.

When we do these things, we stay on the path of purity. Notice how these things necessitate each other:

You can’t seek the Lord if you’re not living in obedience, we know that the Lord doesn’t hear our prayers when we regard sin in our heart. (Psalm 66:18)

You can’t live in obedience if you don’t know and memorize His word, you don’t even know what you’re supposed to obey if that’s the case.

You can’t memorize His word, specifically HIDE it in your heart (indicating that it becomes a part of who you are) if you’re not seeking the Lord and living in obedience.

Take time to do some self-evaluation: Am I living just obedient enough to appear as righteous to others, or am I seeking the Lord with my whole heart to allow Him to change me?

Stay vigilant, stay faithful, chase eternity.
